Domaine Christian Moreau Pre et Fils owns a total of 1.25 acres of the Grand Cru Vaudsir. Vaudsir is located northwest of the Les Clos Grand Cru in a small valley between Valmur and Les Preuses. It is distinguished by its incomparable finesse and delicacy and is known as the most ‘feminine’ Grand Cru of Chablis. At the winery up to 50% of the final blend sees time in oak barrels and 50% in stainless steel tanks. Creamy and full-bodied, with hints of citrus zest, wet stone, and a touch of vanilla. The acidity here is bright and lively. On the palate, it is fresh and nicely balanced with lemongrass and a round mouthfeel that give way to the traditional mineral backbone found in this varietal.
